The State of CWS: March 9th, 2015

We’ve been at this for a long time.

A LONG time.

Clear.Water.Sky. started 3 years ago in my home office with a handshake and a folder filled with ideas. Since then we’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve built several versions of the site and lost tens of thousands of dollars working with people who couldn’t get the job done – but it hasn’t been for nothing. We’ve learned a lot. We’ve grown as people and become better friends – and made great new ones along the way.

My main priority when we started this was simple: I wanted to meet new friends that liked to spend time outdoors. Secondly, I wanted to create a new viable business. When you think about it, it’s funny that the money comes second… but that is truly the case. We want to build a community first and foremost. All of us do – George, Brandon and Myself.

If you’re reading this, the site you are on is the most recent version of CWS. We have new team members working hard and things are finally starting to pick up. Today, for the first time – I woke up and came downstairs with the intention of writing a CWS update and then posting it – to a working site.

Tomorrow, I will write an article on spring fishing, and begin production on a new CWS Video to follow up this one.

Huh… working with a site that actually… works.
What a novel concept.

So, what’s the point of all this?

I just wanted to write about about where we stand. In the next few weeks we will begin to push the new site actively. We will start to take on new members and produce new content. We’ll start to market the site to Guides and help them book more trips and get in touch with new clients. And we want you to join us if you haven’t already.

Good things are coming.
I wonder what’s next?

See you soon.
